Tips & Strategies
- Start at the edges. Bones near the edges of the excavation site are usually easier to identify since less of their shape is hidden under dirt.
- Use the skeleton silhouette as a guide. If you're unsure where a bone goes, the faint outline on the skeleton display narrows your options quickly.
- Dig gently around bone outlines. Faster digging near bone borders risks damage — slow down and use the brush tool on close proximity to fossil areas.
